Registration

You can register to be a member of 7 Cups or a listener. Follow the steps below for each path.

Member Registration Instructions

1. Go to www.7cups.com.
2. Choose the Join 7 Cups drop down menu from the row of options across the top of the screen. (It should be in the middle.)
3. Choose the Become a Member
4. Read Become a Member screen, and click on the Become a Member Now
5. Fill out the information in the Create a Free Member Account pop-up window.
6. Use your student code when you register to become a part of the VCU Community.

You are now a Member of 7 Cups!

Now, you can browse and connect with listeners, participate in groups, read self-help guides on various topics, and work on your Growth Path!

Listener Registration Instructions

1. Go to www.7cups.com.
2. Choose Become a Listener from the row of options across the top of the screen. (It should be the second from the right.)
3. Read the Become a Listener screen and click on the Become a Listener Now
4. Use your student code when you register to become a part of the VCU Community.
5. Complete the registration process (personal information, photo/avatar, brief bio).
6. Complete the Active Listening training. (This is mandatory!)
7. Complete the mock chat. (Also mandatory!)

You’re now a Trained Active Listener for 7 Cups!

Now, you can work on your listener specific Growth Path, read self help guides on various topics, complete various trainings to increase your awareness and understanding of various issues, participate in groups and forums, and listen to members, guests, and other listeners!
