Contemplative Science and Education (CSE) Core-affiliated faculty and students conduct empirical research on mindfulness training, yoga, tai chi, and other contemplative activities that support mental and physical health, stress resilience, health social relationships, and academic and work performance.
Amongst research projects currently underway are studies of:
– Mindfulness meditation training to reduce stress and burnout in health care professionals
– Mindfulness training to enhance emotion regulation and prosocial action in social contexts
– Mindfulness training to enhance leader and follower well-being at work
– Centering pregnancy care plus yoga for diverse pregnant women
